Insider Hat - Black & Grey

The Insider is named for all the types of similar hats to this that are worn inside. This hat could be for just being around the house, getting dressed up with a smoking jacket, worn as the daily hat of a monk or scholar, or possibly something more whimsical. The lower band of material is a is double layered which can fold down and cover your ears if you want to wear the hat for warmth.
The Insider is not only appropriate for inside wear, it will segue seamlessly into the natural world. The top of the hat is medium weight Pendleton Wool; as is the jacquard ear muff/trim. A wool hat can be worn for style anytime, but also is especially good in the rain. It will wick moister to a certain degree, and if it gets wet through it will still keep you warm.
I have pictured two Insiders to show that the Pendleton Jacquard differs slightly from one hat to another. It is true that the pattern repeats, but it repeats on a much larger scale than the width of the ear muff/trim. The result is: although cut from the same jaquard, no two hats are the same. All wool Hat People hats are fully lined with cotton. There is a discrete sewn loop at the top of the crown, which allows you to tie onboard whatever you wish! A feather, tassel, beads, or nothing at all: it's up to you.
The Insider is not adjustable to size, so it is important that you measure your head before submitting your order. Sizes are measured in inches of circumference and instructions describing how to measure your head can be found on our Ordering Information page. We do not accept any payment until the hat is complete. We will contact you by email for payment. Our standard time frame for completing a hat is five to seven weeks.
